Michael Wilkinson, Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board
Mike Wilkinson is CEO, Chairman of the Board and founder of Kewl Innovations, Inc.™ With more than 25 years of hardware and software experience in embedded systems design and development, Mike created the vision for Kewl and led the development of the prototype Kewl products. He is also an insulin-dependent diabetic and the first user of the Kewl ClimaPak.
Mike is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Paragon Innovations, Inc., a leading provider of outsourced technical expertise in the design, development and documentation of medical devices and embedded systems. He leads Paragon’s business strategy and vision, product design, and product development. Customers include Baxter Healthcare, B Braun, Medtronic MiniMed, Advisys, Quest Medical, Siemens, Nellcor, Alcon Labs, and 3M.
Wilkinson holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, where he is a frequent guest lecturer and annual judge for the Venture Challenge and Ideas Challenge for the Mays Business School MBA program. He earned his Eagle Scout at the age of 13. He is a member of Vistage International, the Advisory Council of Texas A&M Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship (CNVE), serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for Texas A&M Engineering Department, served on the Board of Directors of Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) and former Chairman of the AEA North Texas CEO roundtable.
Stephen B. Hodges, Director of Finance
Director of Finance Steve Hodges has 30 years of accounting and finance experience in domestic and international markets at the controller, VP of Finance, and CFO levels. Steve’s background includes positions with Texas Instruments, LTV Energy, Cooper Industries and Apple Corporation. He also served as GM of a technical start-up with sales of $5.6M in the first year and $9.6M in the second, before being bought by a Canadian organization. Steve is a native Texan and graduate of The University of Texas.
