We do plan on working with the insulin pump manufacturers in the future for a version that is integrated in the pump and/or holds the pump. Our founders and engineers have designed insulin pumps and understand the need. Thanks for your feedback. For the moment, your spare insulin can be stored in the ClimaPak ready for a refill. We have runners and cyclists who replace their unused insulin in their pump after a run or ride from the ClimaPak. Best of luck.

I am a mom of 2 kids with T1. Our family stays very active, camping, going to the beach, lots of snow activities when we visit family. Keeping insulin protected is a top priority. Both my kids wear pumps but carrying extra insulin is just smart and necessary during long vacations. To test our ClimaPak we put it through the most ultimate test – a cross country trip in a van with two dogs, two cats and three kids in August starting in TX, stopping in AZ and ending in Northern Cal. There were times we left the ClimaPak in the van for extended periods of time (not recommended by product manufacturer) the temp in the van was likely well over 130 yet our insulin was comfy cozy at 72. ClimaPak came with to the pool and hiking. Always our insulin was safe at 72. I was convinced it was the best tool to keep our insulin safe in hot temps but what about cold temps (camping gets cold at night and spending long periods of time up in Tahoe this winter will require a device to keep insulin above freezing temps). Curiosity got the best of me so I put ClimaPak in the freezer for a few hours. End temp – 48 degrees – insulin safe. To my knowledge the ClimaPak is the only device that keeps insulin safe in below freezing conditions. If you enjoy extended outdoor activities I highly recommend the ClimaPak. If I was forced to include an area that some improvement could be made it would be in weight of the device although it is very lightweight already.

I use my ClimaPak everyday. Even as I leave for an ocean yacht race, I can depend on my ClimaPak to keep my insulin at correct temperature at sea.

I really love my ClimaPak. It is everything I expected.
