Recently the Kewl Team and ClimaPak made their way to Storybook Ranch in McKinney, Texas, to meet with campers and parents at Camp New Horizons North, a children’s diabetes summer camp sponsored by the American Diabetes Association.  We were quickly met with smiling faces, eager to learn about our product and energized after 5 days of motivational peer support.

At Camp New Horizons, diabetes is just an average thing.  Campers sport pumps and vials, chat about diet and meal decisions, and routinely cut away for tests and injections.  We got to interact with parents and family members looking for ways to best support their campers with diabetes.  The atmosphere was ripe with hopefulness and cheer, attitudes were genuinely positive.  We were met with smiles and enthusiasm as we conversed with individuals about their personal diabetes management strategy and how ClimaPak™ would make an impact by making both routine and extended travel with insulin much more manageable.

As always, our team was immensely impressed with the in-depth questions that parents and  children with diabetes posed.  From the ergonomic grip design to the easy to read display, ClimaPak is intended to meet the subtle demands of diabetes management.  It is encouraging to meet folks who are so knowledgeable about their condition and so adamant about finding the most appropriate solutions.  At Kewl Innovations, we’re devoted to developing solutions for the lifestyle hurtles of diabetes.  Camp New Horizons gave us a chance to share our solution with like-minded individuals, helping build the momentum we need to introduce ClimaPak to all those who will benefit from it.
