RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Marketing and Communications Manager has the primary responsibility for generating qualified leads for the Company’s product, positioning the Company in the market, and establishing the Company’s value proposition
KEY JOB ACTIVITIES:
Develop and implement the tactical activities needed to generate direct sales of a new consumer product in the Diabetes market
Working with Company management and the Company’s thought-leaders, develop and implement the marketing and communications programs required to raise awareness of the Company in the marketplace, drive sales, and increase market share
Create and maintain social networking initiatives, such as blogs, Facebook, and Twitter
Write and maintain online and written collateral, including Website content, success stories, press releases, and the Company’s blog
Track, review, analyze, and develop ROI measurements for marketing and communications programs, including AdWords and SEO / SEM
Implement SEO / SEM strategy, manage keyword library, and ensure meta-tags and design align with keywords / SEO strategy
Develop lead scoring and lead nurturing programs
Trade shows
Media relations and PR
Complete and maintain market research
Work with other functional departments to ensure that cross-functional communications between various stakeholders are timely and effective
Special projects as may be assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
BA degree required – BA in Marketing or Communications preferred
2 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred
Solid understanding of the Internet – including search engines, browsers, and analytics and a basic knowledge of HTML
Strong working knowledge of marketing communications practices
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a Marketing organization
Excellent writing and oral communications skills
High level of initiative, with the ability to self-motivate
Capable of working well independently and in team settings
Superior time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Outgoing personality and a desire to succeed
Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and situations
